One of America’s favourite times of the year will soon be upon us – yep, it’s Halloween! And with that in mind, it’s time we rolled out some Halloween recipes for you to try on (or before, or after!) the day.

We’ve got some old favourites and some new and exciting ones to share with you, but we thought we’d start with this brilliant twist on the traditional donut. So let’s get started!

Pumpkin Donuts

  1. ¼ cup of pumpkin puree
  2. 1 cup of unsalted almond butter
  3. 4 eggs
  4. 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  5. 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice
  6. ½ teaspoons of baking powder
  7. ¼ cup of raw honey
  8. ½ teaspoons of sea salt
  9. 2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
  1. Preheat your oven to 325 F (170 C, Gas Mark 3)
  2. Take a mixing bowl and add the almond butter.
  3. Beat it with a blender until it turns creamy.
  4. Now add the pumpkin puree, eggs, vanilla and honey and beat again.
  5. To the mixture add the baking powder, salt and pie spice. Mix it well.
  6. Take a greased donut pan and pour in the batter.
  7. Bake for around 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from pan.
  1. Sprinkle your donuts with icing sugar, honey or whatever else takes your fancy!
