Twinkie Cocktail Recipes

We’ve had genuine American Hostess Twinkies back in stock for a while now and while they are just wonderful on their own we’ve been looking for interesting things to do with them.

Lo and behold, we stumbled on some fantastic adult-only cocktail recipes that use the cake and cream treat as a main ingredient. You may have to search about for some of the other ingredients but it’ll be worth it…

Twinkie Goblet Cocktail

Twinkie Goblet CocktailTwinkie, orange flavours, rum and vodka. Slurp!

What You Need

  • 2 ozs – vanilla syrup
  • 3 ozs – heavy whipping cream
  • 3 ozs – fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 2 ozs – Licor 43
  • 2 ozs – Bacardi O
  • 4 ozs – Pinnacle Orange Whipped Vodka
  • 1 Twinkie on a long bar pick

What You Do

  1. Put all the ingredients bar the Twinkie into a cocktail shaker
  2. Give it a good shake
  3. Fill a large goblet with ice
  4. Pour the liquid over ice
  5. Garnish with the Twinkie

Simple!

Caramel Twinkie

Caramel TwinkieA super sweet cocktail heavily featuring vanilla, caramel and vodka. Delicious!

What You Need

  • 4 ozs – vanilla ice cream
  • 1 1/2 ozs – Triple Eight Vanilla Vodka
  • 1/2 oz – whole milk
  • 1 1/2 Twinkies
  • Caramel sauce

What You Do

  1. Using a drinks blender, blend the ice cream, milk and vodka for about a minute
  2. Add one Twinkie and blend until smooth
  3. Take a tall glass and drizzle with caramel sauce
  4. Pour in the mixture
  5. Garnish with half a Twinkie

How good does that sound?

For The Love Of Twinkies

For the Love of TwinkiesIt’s pink, stunning looking and delightfully put together!

What You Need

  • 3 scoops – vanilla ice cream
  • 3 Twinkies
  • 2 teaspoons – cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 ozs – Pinnacle or Smirnoff Whipped Cream Vodka
  • 2 drops – red food-colouring
  • Whipped cream for garnish

What You Do

  1. Blend all the ingredients until smooth
  2. Pour into a tall glass
  3. Top with whipped cream
  4. Optional: Further garnish with a glazed Twinkie

It’s a combination to die for!

Twinkie Belle

What You Need

  • 3 scoops – vanilla ice cream
  • 1 oz – Stoli Vanilla Vodka
  • 1/2 oz – green crème de menthe
  • 1 1/2 Twinkies
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles for garnish

What You Do

  1. Blend the main ingredients together for about a minute or until smooth
  2. Take a tall glass and coat with chocolate syrup
  3. Pour in the liquid
  4. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles

Simple yet oddly elegant.

A Sweet Comeback

A Sweet ComebackMade to celebrate the return of the Twinkie, this is definitely the best looking cocktail on this list (and the only one that doesn’t actually contain a Twinkie…).

What You Need

  • 1 Part Pinnacle Cake Vodka
  • 1 Part DeKuyper Vanilla Liqueur
  • 1 Part half and half
  • Multi-coloured sprinkles

What You Do

  1. Take a martini glass and coat the rim with multi-coloured sprinkles
  2. Place the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
  3. Shake well
  4. Pour into the martini glass
  5. Optional: Coat half a Twinkie in whipped cream and garnish the top of the drink

Ok, so we HAD to add a Twinkie in there somewhere!

Hostess With The Mostess

Hostess with the MostessTwinkies, strawberry, bourbon and a hint of lemon combine to produce a refreshing, sweet drink that won’t be beat.

What You Need

  • 1 Twinkie
  • 1 Strawberry
  • 2 ozs – Old Forester Bourbon
  • 3/4 oz – fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz – honey
  • 1 Egg white

What You Do

  1. Cut the Twinkie into three pieces
  2. Halve the strawberry
  3. Put the Twinkie pieces into a mixing glass and shake
  4. Add the strawberry pieces and repeat
  5. Add the egg white, cover and shake for around 20 seconds
  6. Add the rest of the ingredients and some ice and shake for another 20 seconds
  7. Pour into a coupe style glass (chilled) and garnsih

Oh. My. Tastebuds!
